Unlimited civil cases referred by judicial officers to the Court's Mediation
Volunteer Panel (MVP) are eligible for three hours of virtual mediation at no cost with a
qualified
mediator from the MVP. MVP mediators volunteer preparation time and three hours of
mediation at no charge. If the parties agree to continue the mediation after three hours,
the mediator may charge their market hourly rate. When a case is referred to the MVP,
the Court's ADR Office will provide information and instructions to the parties. The
Notice directs parties to meet and confer to select a mediator from the MVP or they may
request that the ADR Office assign them a mediator. The plaintiff or plaintiff's attorney
must submit an online MVP
Response Form. The
assigned MVP mediator will
coordinate
the mediation with the parties.
